About Lorenzo

Lorenzo Barrera was born in Michoacan, Mexico, and emigrated with his family to California at age thirteen. This personal experience as part of an immigrant working-class family gives Lorenzo direct understanding of the challenges Liberation Law Group's clients face: adapting to a new country, navigating complex legal systems in a second language, and defending one's dignity in the workplace.

As a legal assistant in the Mission District office, Lorenzo supports the team's daily work — from document preparation to client communication in Spanish. His bilingual and bicultural presence is essential to ensure every client receives service in the language they are most comfortable in.

Outside of work, one of Lorenzo's passions is the practice of traditional Aztec dances, an artistic expression that keeps his connection to his Mexican roots and the rich indigenous cultural tradition of Mesoamerica alive. This commitment to culture and identity reflects the values Liberation Law Group defends every day in its work.

Lorenzo represents the direct connection between the Liberation Law Group team and the Bay Area Hispanic community. He is often the first person Hispanic clients meet when they call — and that first experience matters.

His focus on community does not end in the office. By keeping the Mesoamerican cultural tradition alive, Lorenzo embodies the values of identity and dignity the firm defends in every case.
