Un Kei advocates for employees on an individual and class basis in employment matters. She has represented hundreds of employees in recovering unpaid wages relating to minimum wage, overtime, rest breaks and meal periods, and employee misclassification. She also represents employees in discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and sexual harassment cases.
Un Kei has been successful in resolving many employment disputes prior to litigation and has obtained favorable settlements on behalf of employees. If litigation ensues, Un Kei is skilled in all stages of litigation.
Un Kei was born in Macau and grew up in Lima, Peru. She speaks fluent Spanish and Cantonese Chinese. Her clients benefit from her language skills leading to good communication and client relationships.
Un Kei received her Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University School of Law. During law school, she was a member of the Moot Court Board and was a board member of GGU’s Asian American Law Students Association. She was also a student clinician at GGU’s Women’s Employments Right Clinic. Un Kei received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a double major in Linguistics and Spanish.
