Miriam graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2013 with a degree in Global Economics and Latin American and Latino Studies. She is passionate about migrant’s rights and social justice issues in working class communities. She joined Liberation Law,
P.C. in 2014 with the intent to provide legal assistance to those facing legal challenges. Born in Santa Clara, California and raised in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico, Miriam is a fluent bilingual Spanish and English speaker.
Prior to joining Liberation Law Group, P.C., Miriam interned in Fundación EDUCA México, A.C., a nonprofit organization focused on providing services and resources to low‐income schools in Mexico. Her studies, language skills and personal experiences have equipped her with a thorough understanding of the multi‐faceted challenges faced by people of diverse backgrounds and as a legal assistant she prides herself in bringing her compassion and understanding to clients seeking help.
